Your photo helps us check the visible shape of a toilet seat or bowl.
How your photo is used
When you tap Check my photo on the website, topseat fit sends a prepared copy through our server to OpenAI, our image-analysis provider, to estimate its shape. In the mobile app, after you allow photo analysis, accepting a camera photo or selecting a library photo automatically sends the prepared copy for analysis. Exploring sample results does not send a photo.
What topseat keeps
topseat fit processes photos temporarily and does not save a server-side photo history. Photos are resized and embedded location metadata is removed before analysis. Starting a new check or closing the photo view clears the photo from that view. Your original photo remains in your photo library if it was already saved there.
How the provider handles your photo
OpenAI does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models by default. Its retention rules may apply, including abuse-monitoring retention. We request that responses not be stored, but this is not a guarantee of zero provider retention. Read OpenAI’s data controls below for details.
Usage limits and regional availability
Our service processes your IP address to enforce usage limits and your country to determine regional availability. We store a random check identifier, a protected network identifier derived from your IP address and the day, and request timing information. These usage records contain no uploaded photos. People sharing a network may share a usage limit.
Retention of usage records
The protected network identifier changes daily, but that does not delete older usage records. The current service has no automatic deletion schedule for these records. Service providers may retain separate operational or security logs under their own policies. Contact privacy@topseat.com with questions or requests about your data.
Your choices
On the website, you can remove or replace a photo before checking. In the mobile app, you can decline photo analysis or withdraw permission in Photo privacy to stop future uploads. Cancel stops waiting for a result; it cannot recall a photo already sent. Retry sends the selected photo again. You can explore sample results without sending a photo for analysis.
